Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships count).
• A degree is required.
• Strong attention to detail with comfort working with numbers and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Prepare routine journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Review general ledger activity and note items requiring follow up research.
• Identify account discrepancies and assist in resolving items.
• Reconcile point-of-sale activity including sales, payments, discounts, gift cards, etc.
• Compare POS reports to deposits, payment processor activity, and accounting records.
• Assist with inventory accounting across ecommerce, retail, and food/beverage operations.
• Review inventory adjustments and assist with discrepancies and shrinkages.
• Assist with invoice review, coding, and documentation research for invoices and payments.
