Job summary

Kansas Children's Service League in Wichita, KS is hiring a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations. The role includes preparing journal entries, posting to the general ledger, and maintaining the vendor master, with regular financial analysis and reporting to funding sources.

The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional evenings and weekends; the salary is up to $50,000 annually, along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field is required.
• 2 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the business office.
• Prepare journal entries, vouchers, post to general ledger, and maintain vendor master.
• Perform reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers and financial analysis.
• Track expenses related to funding sources and prepare monthly/quarterly reports with analysis of actual to budget variances.
