Kansas Children's Service League is seeking a full-time Junior Accountant in Topeka, KS. The role involves handling day-to-day financial operations, preparing journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger to support program staff and reporting needs.

The position offers a strong benefits package, a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evenings and weekends, and opportunities to contribute to grant and funding reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 2 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of business office.
• Prepare journal entries, vouchers, post activity to general ledger, and maintain vendor master.
• Perform reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers and financial analysis.
• Track expenses related to funding sources and prepare monthly/quarterly reports as required by the funding source, with analysis of actual to budget variances.
• Provide support to program staff as needed for financial questions.
