This is a fully in-office, on-site position based in New Jersey, aimed at a recent graduate or early-career accountant looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and finance. The Junior Accountant will handle high-volume AP, vendor setup, expense reports, account reconciliations, and support the Finance team on projects, with opportunities to grow within a

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Recent graduates and candidates beginning their accounting careers are encouraged to apply.
• Previous accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related internship experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook; and
• Experience within the AEC industry or a related professional services industry is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring invoices are accurately coded, entered, and routed for approval.
• Process vendor payments accurately and in accordance with established payment schedules.
• Manage vendor setup and maintenance, including obtaining and maintaining required documentation such as Certificates of Insurance, W-9s, and subcontractor agreements.
• Review and process employee expense reports and company credit card statements, including verification of supporting documentation and appropriate accounting treatment.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, vendor statements, and related accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Coordinate with employees, project managers, and vendors to resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies and respond to related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation; and
• Assist the Finance team with additional accounting activities and projects as needed.
