Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Master's in Accounting/Finance in lieu of Bachelor's)
• No prior financial work experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting basics
• Familiarity with utility accounting desired

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Research variances and identify reasons behind financial differences
• Prepare account analyses to support financial reporting
• Support month-end close activities and ensure completeness and accuracy of information
• Collaborate with accounting and finance partners to meet reporting deadlines
• Assist with regulatory reporting and data requests for audits where needed
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analyses
