Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; substitutions allowed with 2 years per 1 year of academics.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices.
• Experience with energy billing and utility accounting preferred.
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail and planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong data entry and reporting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly general ledger completion.
• Maintain chart of accounts and process maintenance requests.
• Prepare and distribute management reports during GL close.
• Assist in preparing periodic financial reports.
• Prepare energy billings and other billings as requested.
• Review and post invoices and accruals to GL.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payroll, and cash journals monthly.
• Support system modifications and data analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide assistance in review of NERC compliance as applicable.
