Akkodis is seeking an Accountant I for a 4 Months contract position with a client located in Mettawa, IL 60045. 1 year experience in general accounting using QuickBooks/Oracle. Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation. Experience with Excel comes as a plus.

Job Title : Accountant 1

Location : Mettawa, IL 60045 - Hybrid: In office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Remote Monday & Friday

Duration : 4 Months

Pay Range: $20/hr - $21/hr on W2 (without benefits), the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location and other factors.

Hours: 8am-4pm

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing membership cancellation requests in Oracle, SFDC and updating the cancellation tracker as per timelines.
• Maintaining member files in shared drives.
• Processing agreement changes in SalesOptima, SFDC & oracle.
• Handling member enquiries about cancellation, billings and refunds.
• Processing member refunds, while ensuring accuracy.
• Participating in team.

Skills required

• 1 year experience in general accounting using QuickBooks/Oracle.
• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed with ability to meet established deadlines.
• Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and have can-do attitude.
• Must be willing to work in dynamic business environment and adaptive to change.
• Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation.
• Experience with Excel.
• Must be willing to work as part of diverse team and be a team player.
