Crescent Event Productions (CEP) is a full-service live event production company creating exceptional experiences for corporate, association, and agency clients nationwide. The Junior Account Executive is a ground-floor sales role for someone early in their career who is confident, persistent, and motivated to build a career in AV and live event production sales.
The role learns Crescent's full range of AV and event production capabilities while prospecting, opening doors, building relationships, and converting new opportunities into long-term clients, working closely alongside experienced Account Executives and the VP of Sales.
The Junior Account Executive works under the direction of the VP of Sales and in close partnership with senior Account Executives, learning Crescent's sales process through direct mentorship and hands-on participation in proposals, site visits, and client presentations.
The role does not independently own client pricing, contract terms, or major account strategy during the early stages of development; these remain the responsibility of the VP of Sales and senior Account Executives until the Junior Account Executive has demonstrated the experience and judgment to manage them independently.
Once an event is sold, the Junior Account Executive is responsible for a clean, detailed handoff to the Project Management and Operations teams and remains the client's point of contact for the relationship, coordinating with Operations on execution rather than managing operational delivery directly.
Regular, proactive communication with the VP of Sales regarding pipeline status, client conversations, and account activity is expected as part of ongoing coaching and development.
None.
Successful candidates demonstrate a hunter's mindset, competitive drive, and genuine curiosity about live events and AV production. This role requires coachability, organizational hustle, professionalism under pressure, and a service-after-the-sale mentality that carries through from first contact to final invoice.
Ability to calculate pipeline value, quote figures, and apply percentages and basic financial calculations as they relate to sales quotas, event budgets, and final event billing.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in qualifying prospects, interpret client needs, and resolve routine scheduling, pipeline, and account issues independently in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and CRM software, with the ability to learn new sales and event-management platforms quickly. Familiarity with HubSpot and IntelliEvent Lightning is a plus.
