Job summary

New Jersey Judiciary invites applicants to join an 8500-member TEAM dedicated to independence, integrity and service. Interns perform clerical, administrative, supportive tasks and customer service in connection with court proceedings. Hours are flexible between 8:30 a.m.

and 4:30 p.m., 35 hours per week maximum, up to 944 hours annually. Pay is $20.00 per hour, with opportunities to gain broad insight into the court system.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree with at least 30 credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare filings and provide documents to chambers.
• Answer phones and distribute voicemails.
• Research caseloads and manage calendars.
• Moderate virtual hearings.
• Conduct data entry and look-ups.
• Provide customer service and draft memos.
• Attend community planning meetings and assist staff.
• Follow-up with treatment providers and defendants.
