Job summary

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Programs Coordinator, Judicial (Corrections) to oversee the judicial team within the correctional facility. The role includes supervising staff, reviewing court minutes, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities also involve coordinating the import of court minutes, maintaining inmate court status, and performing administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in related work.
• Equivalent combination of related training, education, and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain NCIC/FCIC certification within six months if required for the work assignment.
• Internal applicants must complete Seminole County Sheriff's Office one year probationary period.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff assigned to the judicial team.
• Reviews work for quality assurance purposes.
• Ensures subordinate awareness of standard operating policies and procedures.
• Provides technical assistance to staff in the performance of their duties.
• Assists in developing and implementing operating policies and procedures for the Judicial Team unit.
• Receives and reviews court minutes for accuracy; contacts courts to correct errors or clarify vague or incomplete documents.
• Receives and reviews court release orders; verifies orders are valid and issued by the appropriate court.
• Prepares and reviews weekly court lists for in-custody court hearings.
• Evaluates members assigned to the unit and prepares performance appraisals.
• Conducts briefings with staff and disseminates information from memos and orders.
