Job summary

Seminole County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Program Coordinator, Judicial (Corrections) to oversee the judicial unit within the jail. The role includes supervising staff, reviewing court minutes, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required for consideration.
  • Minimum three years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • NCIC/FCIC certification within six months of employment preferred.
  • Internal applicants must complete one year probationary period.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff assigned to the judicial team and reviews work for quality assurance.
  • Assists in developing and implementing operating policies for the unit.
  • Receives and reviews court minutes for accuracy and coordinates with courts as needed.
  • Verifies court release orders and ensures consistency with other court orders.
  • Prepares and reviews weekly in-custody court lists.
  • Evaluates unit personnel and prepares performance appraisals.
  • Conducts staff briefings and disseminates orders and training information.
  • Answers public inquiries by phone and provides routine information.
  • Performs unit duties and can substitute for subordinates as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in related work assignment
Equivalent combination of related training, education, and experience
Must be NCIC/FCIC certified within six (6) months of employment
Internal applicants must have completed the Seminole County Sheriff's Office one (1) year probationary period
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License
