Qualifications

• Transcripts for all undergraduate and post-graduate education must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Issue arrest warrants and summonses for criminal offenses and other Virginia violations.
• Issue search warrants and conduct bail hearings.
• Admit persons charged with offenses to bail or commit them to jail.
• Issue Emergency Protective Orders and other orders as allowed by law.
• Perform other acts authorized by law while upholding impartiality.
