Job description

Summary of/ Primary Role:

This role’s focus is facilitating complex geothermal development projects from early-stage through full project contract execution. The position requires a unique combination of business development, stakeholder management, technical engineering knowledge, project execution skills, and regulatory understanding to successfully navigate the multifaceted challenges of geothermal project development. The role involves direct client engagement, working cross-functionally with internal teams, origination support and day-to-day project upkeep tasks in support of the development process. The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter who demonstrates resourcefulness, and a relentless drive to push projects forward in a competitive business landscape.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Development & Origination for Sales and Revenue Achievement
  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to conduct origination research and find prospective opportunities.
  • Research, identify and manage target lists of events, conferences, associations, clients and partners.
  • Manage pre- and post-event task coordination with Marketing Team and external organizers or administrators, including pre-event or post-event follow-up meetings.
  • Enter, manage, and maintain origination-stage data and Tasks in Hubspot, such as Contacts, Campaigns and Events so they are up to date.
  • Craft campaign messaging and implement sequencing or imports via Hubspot.
  • Synthesize origination research to formulate, plan, and execute team origination campaigns/ strategies.
  • Assess team origination effectiveness and prepare strategies to improve messaging and targeting.
  • Attend conferences and events to foster client and partner relationships.
  • Articulate Brightcore’s value proposition in a compelling manner, build rapport, and implement sales strategies to steer clients’ and stakeholders’ decision-making.
  • Support the team’s geothermal project pipeline in alignment with management’s direction to meet or exceed sales and/or revenue targets.
Project Execution & Coordination
  • Facilitate geothermal project development efforts, while adhering to budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Coordinate across internal and external teams to schedule project or introductory meetings, while maintaining clear and professional communication with the client and key stakeholders throughout.
  • Create and update databases and dashboards on Hubspot, Monday, and other CRM platforms in a timely manner.
  • Prepare or revise project-related materials such as requests for information and proposals.
  • Support internal teams with other project-related back of house and project upkeep tasks.
Strategic Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Execute comprehensive and tailored communication strategies for complex geothermal projects.
  • Facilitate the Project Development team’s efforts on communicating the project development process to customers and stakeholders to align on expectations.
  • Liaise with different project parties and internal teams to collate, share and submit information and other project-related materials in adherence to project deadlines.
Technical Analysis
  • Conduct preliminary analysis on technical materials and documents such as geological maps and building data.
  • Synthesize information and stay up to date on any applicable incentive or grant programs and regulations.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field AND 0–3 years of experience in sales, project management, or project implementation.
  • Experience or education in renewable energy, real estate development, MEP, environmental engineering, construction, or architecture.
  • Experience or education reviewing technical and financial documents (e.g., site plans, cost estimates, reports, grants).
  • Experience or education managing projects with permitting or regulatory approvals, including at least one full approval cycle.
  • Basic proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with internal and external partners.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Expected Hours of Work & Compensation

An Employee is expected to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws, while exempt employees may be required to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities. Overtime requirements will be determined based on the operational needs of the organization. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Brightcore also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to complement the base salary. The salary range for this position is $75,001.00-$95,000.00.

Travel Requirements
  • Travel may be required up to 20% to office/work/project sites in the greater Northeast Region and/or East Coast (but not limited to) of the United States.
  • Office presence required at least three (3) days per week, unless otherwise agreed upon with final approval by direct supervisor.
