Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an early-career BI professional to support and develop Power BI reports, SQL queries, and SSRS/SSIS pipelines. You will manage ticket queues, provision access, and migrate legacy reports while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes a balance between support work, report enhancements, and ongoing modernization of the organization’s data environment. A strong foundation in data analytics and communication is required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Power BI reports and dashboards.
• 2+ years of experience writing, modifying, and troubleshooting SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with SSRS and SSIS.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and reporting concepts.
• Experience with report migrations, legacy system modernization, and data requests.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to solve data challenges.

This role will primarily focus on supporting and enhancing the organization's reporting environment through Power BI, SQL, SSRS, and SSIS. Responsibilities include managing and resolving reporting support tickets, provisioning user access to reports and data, updating backend data sources, creating and maintaining paginated reports for operational teams, converting legacy reports into Power BI, rewriting and optimizing SQL scripts, fulfilling ad hoc data requests, troubleshooting report and data issues, and partnering with business users to ensure reporting solutions meet operational needs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an early-career BI professional with 2-5 years of Power BI experience and a strong SQL foundation who enjoys a blend of support, reporting, and development work. They are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to solve data and reporting challenges. This person is eager to grow their technical expertise, has experience working in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively balance support requests, report enhancements, and ongoing migration efforts from legacy systems to modern BI platforms.
