Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is looking for an experienced BI Developer to design and maintain business intelligence solutions. This includes building dashboards and reports, as well as developing ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and over 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence. Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and Business Objects is also required. Position located in Pennsylvania.

We are seeking an experienced BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for building dashboards, reports, data integration processes, and visualization solutions using modern BI tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Business Objects, Power BI, and SSIS, along with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and reliable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data visualizations.
• Create and support reporting solutions using Business Objects and Power BI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Build and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple source systems to support enterprise reporting needs.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, business insights, and reporting opportunities.
• Design and develop data models and datasets that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support cloud-based reporting and data delivery initiatives utilizing Power BI and related technologies.
• Validate data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports, dashboards, and data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reporting, data integration, and performance-related issues.
• Document technical designs, development processes, configurations, and support procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing enhancements, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and production support activities for BI solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Warehousing, or related development roles.
• Strong experience with SQL databases and advanced SQL programming.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and supporting Business Objects reports.
• Hands‑on experience developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL development and data integration.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, reporting, and business intelligence concepts.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and enterprise reporting environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple assignments and deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Experience supporting multiple projects, modules, or business functions simultaneously.
• Experience working within onsite/offshore delivery models and distributed teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with business users, stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with source control and version management tools such as Git or SVN.
• Experience supporting cloud‑based analytics and reporting platforms.
