American Credit Acceptance, LLC is hiring a Junior Network Engineer to support ACA's network infrastructure across offices, data centers, and cloud environments. You will work with experienced engineers to monitor health, troubleshoot, document, and learn cloud networking concepts.

Qualifications

• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing/switching, wireless fundamentals.

• Willingness to learn and be coached by senior engineers.
• Ability to document work clearly and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network health and respond to alerts using approved tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues (wired/wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
• Support network hardware installations, replacements, and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventories, and procedures.
• Follow change management, security, and operational standards.
• Assist senior engineers with upgrades, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
• Learn cloud networking concepts and connectivity between on-prem and cloud.
• Coordinate with vendors/service providers for incident resolution.
• Document troubleshooting findings and lessons learned.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and skill development.

The Junior Network Engineer will work alongside experienced engineers to support ACA's network infrastructure across offices, data centers, and cloud environments. Success in this role requires curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning.

We are looking for individuals who want to grow beyond traditional networking and develop skills in cloud networking, automation, security, observability, and AI-assisted IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network health and respond to alerts using approved monitoring and observability tools.
• Assist with troubleshooting connectivity issues involving wired, wireless, VPN, DNS, and DHCP services.
• Support network hardware installations, replacements, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, inventories, and operational procedures.
• Follow change management, security, and operational standards when performing assigned work.
• Assist senior engineers with network upgrades, configuration changes, and troubleshooting activities.
• Learn cloud networking concepts and assist with connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Work with vendors and service providers to support incident resolution when needed.
• Document troubleshooting findings, recurring issues, and lessons learned.
• Participate in technical training, mentoring, and skill-development activities.
• Learn to responsibly use approved AI tools to improve documentation, research, and troubleshooting efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on training in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Zero to two years of professional experience.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
• TCP/IP
• DNS
• DHCP
• VLANs
• Routing and switching concepts
• Wireless networking fundamentals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and accept coaching from senior engineers.
• Ability to document work clearly and follow established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or active pursuit of a networking certification.
• Internship, lab, classroom, or home-lab networking experience.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or cloud computing concepts.
• Exposure to scripting or automation tools such as Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with GitHub, IT ticketing systems, or monitoring tools.
