Job summary

American Credit Acceptance, LLC is hiring a Junior Network Engineer to support ACA's network infrastructure across offices, data centers, and cloud environments. You will work with experienced engineers to monitor health, troubleshoot, document, and learn cloud networking concepts.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's or associate degree (or technical cert), have strong communication, problem-solving, and willingness to learn in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on training in IT, Networking, CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Zero to two years of professional experience.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing/switching, wireless fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and be coached by senior engineers.
• Ability to document work clearly and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network health and respond to alerts using approved tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues (wired/wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
• Support network hardware installations, replacements, and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventories, and procedures.
• Follow change management, security, and operational standards.
• Assist senior engineers with upgrades, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
• Learn cloud networking concepts and connectivity between on-prem and cloud.
• Coordinate with vendors/service providers for incident resolution.
• Document troubleshooting findings and lessons learned.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and skill development.
