Support manufacturing operations through changeover, set-up, and repair of production equipment. Perform basic mechanical repairs on company machinery and facilities.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain all plant equipment by sanitizing, cleaning, lubricating, and making mechanical repairs.
2. Work long or unusual hours on assigned shift.
3. Perform various special projects according to skill and ability.
4. Perform set-up, changeover, and repair of production equipment.
5. Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
6. Complete facility assignments as required.

Qualifications

Characteristics and competencies include:

1. Ability to troubleshoot most equipment in the facility.
2. Complete full changeover unassisted.
3. Work independently.
4. Install and repair plumbing.
5. Repair pneumatic equipment.
6. Basic compressor knowledge.
7. Work under stress.
8. Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
9. Stand, sit, or walk for the duration of the shift.
10. Read work orders and product visually.
11. Manual dexterity for maintenance duties.
12. Work in high elevations, climb stairs, etc.
13. Organize and coordinate projects.
14. Good math skills.
15. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
16. Perform duties efficiently and accurately.
17. Beginning electrical experience.
18. Basic knowledge of boiler operation.
19. Knowledge of advanced mechanical tools.
20. Lift up to 100 lbs.
21. Beginning welding experience.
