Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years PCB assembly experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SMT equipment and PCB assembly processes.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 Rev D, IPC-A-610 & IPC-A-620.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP systems; CAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Generate labor time estimates for new opportunities.
  • Create and/or update visual aids and process plans.
  • Attend production readiness review meetings.
  • Solve technical production issues as they arise.
  • Support as needed with programming production equipment.
  • Assist in the maintenance and documentation of production equipment.
  • Assist in specifying new capital equipment needs.
  • Attend continuous improvement meetings and address action items in a timely manner.
  • Other duties and projects may be assigned as business needs dictate.
  • Team player willing to roll up sleeves and help other team members when necessary.

Role Description
  • This is a full-time on-site role located in Danbury, CT for a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Generate labor time estimates for new opportunities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree in either Electrical Engineering or at least 5 years equivalent experience working in a PCB assembly manufacturing environment.

Has hands on and process knowledge with the following production equipment:SMT Stencil printer, SPI, SMT placement machines, SMT reflow oven, AOI, X-Ray, Selective Solder, Wave Solder, PCB Depanelization Router, AMP K-Press, Labeling Systems, Conformal Coating, PCB wash systems.

Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 Rev D, J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 & IPC-A-620

Proficient with Microsoft office, ERP Systems, CircuitCAM, Factory Logix and CAD experience is a plus.Also experience in specifying/ordering SMT Stencils.
