The Jr. Field Service Technician supports the Field Service Technician with start-ups, installations, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on generators and transfer switches. You will assist with mechanical and electrical tasks, gaining hands-on experience and learning generator theory and operation. Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping of services, mileage, expenses, and billable hours. You will develop proficiency with tools and procedures to ensure quality work. The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions and supporting inside operations like dispatching, parts handling, and warehouse duties. Collaboration with team members and customers is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with generator and transfer switch installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
2. Learn generator theory and operation.
3. Maintain accurate records of services, mileage, expenses, and billable hours.
4. Develop proficiency with tools and standard procedures.
5. Maintain company vehicle and inventory.
6. Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
7. Support inside operations such as dispatch, parts, and warehouse duties.
8. Work effectively with internal teams and external customers.
9. Evaluate processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
