Reports to: Project Manager/Construction Manager
Job Summary:
The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the construction process on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate site activities, including laborers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and implement changes
- Prepare and submit reports, including progress reports, quality control reports, and safety reports
- Ensure site safety and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents
- Manage and maintain site documentation, including records of progress, defects, and variations
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Relevant experience in construction or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure
