Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a reliable Junior Asset Management Tech to join a luxury retail client on a two-week, onsite contract in Piscataway, NJ. You will support IT asset inventory, document equipment in Excel, and assist with device lifecycle activities.

Ideal candidates have experience with IT inventory or asset management, are detail-oriented, and able to work independently while following established processes. Must be able to lift inventory and climb a ladder as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inventory of IT assets stored on pallets, shelving units, and in storage boxes.
• Document equipment information in Excel, including Device Name, Asset Tag, Serial Number, Manufacturer, Model Number, Equipment Type.
• Organize and sort inventory to ensure accurate asset tracking and storage.
• Locate, identify, and verify hardware assets within the storage environment.
• Utilize a company-provided laptop to maintain and update inventory records.
• Assist with device lifecycle management activities: wipe and decommission, update asset registry, inventory reconciliation, packaging and shipping.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling a high volume of assets.
• Follow established procedures for inventory management, data entry, and equipment handling.
• Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.

Day to DayInsight Global is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Asset Management Tech to join one our luxury retail clients on a two-week contract sitting onsite five days a week in Piscataway, NJ. This person will support IT asset inventory and device management operations. This individual will work within a storage and inventory environment, cataloging equipment, maintaining accurate asset records, and assisting with device lifecycle activities. You must have experience working with technology hardware, performing physical inventory tasks, and utilizing Excel to document equipment details.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inventory of IT assets stored on pallets, shelving units, and in storage boxes
• Document equipment information in Excel, including:o Device Nameo Asset Tago Serial Numbero Manufacturero Model Numbero Equipment Type
• Organize and sort inventory to ensure accurate asset tracking and storage
• Locate, identify, and verify hardware assets within the storage environment

Skills and Requirements

• Previous IT inventory, asset management , or IT support experience.

• Ability to climb ladder and lift inventory as needed.
