Job summary

Lyon Living is seeking a Jr. Maintenance Technician for our Milpitas, CA property. The role involves maintaining the property's interior and exterior cleanliness and performing cleaning/janitorial duties to prepare apartments for occupancy.

The position requires flexible scheduling including weekends and on-call shifts. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Pay range is $22.00–$25.00 per hour, on-site housing is not offered.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and cleaning duties to prepare apartments for occupancy.
• Ensure central trash areas/compactors are serviced and kept clean.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure they are in working order.
• Attend safety meetings and accurately complete work records.
• Flexible schedule with weekends/OT/on-call; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.
• Ensure the property’s central trash removal areas and/or compactors are serviced, emptied and kept clean.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensures they are in working order.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy.
• Clean light fixtures, windows, various equipment, laundry rooms, etc., and clean storage and common areas including clubhouse, recreation room, office, fitness center, etc.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and accurately completes work records.
• Responsible for safety storing chemicals, cleaning products and hazardous materials.
• Maintain work, supply carts and storage areas in a neat and organized manner.
• Assist with snow removal as needed.

We are currently looking to fill a Jr. Maintenance Technician position for Turing, our property located in Milpitas, CA.

Essential Job Functions:

The Jr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining high quality standards and providing excellent customer service to our residents. This role is responsible for performing cleaning/janitorial duties related to interior and exterior product preparation for the property.

This position requires attendance at offsite meetings, visits to other Company operated locations, purchase of goods from offsite vendors and other tasks away from a single assigned location. Applicant must have a valid driver's license or be able to utilize an alternative form of transportation at their own expense which allows them to reach the required destination in a time period comparable to that if they were to drive their own vehicle.
