Location: Hampton, VA (Onsite at Langley Air Force Base)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | Permanent Position
Responsibilities
- Provide acquisition and contract administration support for government programs and initiatives.
- Assist with post‑award contract administration activities, including tracking contract actions, maintaining documentation, and supporting contract execution efforts.
- Monitor contract activities to ensure required administrative actions are completed accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare, review, and maintain acquisition‑related documentation, contract files, reports, and supporting records.
- Coordinate with government personnel, program teams, and stakeholders to facilitate timely contract actions and acquisition activities.
- Support acquisition planning efforts through data collection, document preparation, research, and administrative assistance.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to support audits, reviews, compliance requirements, and program reporting.
- Utilize knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements to support acquisition activities.
- Provide additional acquisition, contracting, and program support as needed to help achieve program objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, Program Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Basic understanding of the federal acquisition and contracting lifecycle through education, training, internship experience, military service, or professional experience.
- Familiarity with FAR and DFARS principles and acquisition best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or federal government acquisition, contracting, procurement, or program management activities.
- Experience maintaining contract files, acquisition documentation, and supporting contract administration processes.
- Knowledge of government contracting regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated interest in building a long‑term career in acquisition, contracting, procurement, or program support.
