Job summary

The YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Family Experience Leader to create a joyful, safe, and inclusive environment where children and families can play, learn, and grow. Under the direction of the Family Experience Director, this role delivers engaging experiences that build confidence, spark friendships, and foster belonging in our Family Programs and early childhood spaces.

Responsibilities include welcoming youth and families, supporting daily activities, delivering care in Stay & Play

Qualifications

• Supports family experience programs and child care services.
• Requires ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Greet youth and families to build connections.
• Deliver safe, nurturing care in Stay & Play and Interactive Zone.
• Assist in planning Family Experience programs.
• Follow YMCA policies to ensure safety.
• Report incidents using the Association Occurrence Report.
• Promote core values in interactions.
• Attend required training and meetings.
• Maintain a professional appearance and participate in required activities.
