Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic for the swing shift. You will work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, performing repairs to minimize downtime and maximize uptime for customers.

The role requires diagnosing complex malfunctions, delivering high-quality workmanship, and leading by example. Strong tools, training, and a company commitment to growth are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks including engines, electronics, HVAC and chassis repairs.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex truck malfunctions to return trucks to peak performance.
• Repair or rebuild cabs, steering, engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, electrical or air systems as needed.
• Maintain and service trucks to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
• Collaborate with team and guide others with expertise in a fast-paced shop.
