Pape’ Kenworth in Ferndale, WA is seeking a Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic to join our team. You will work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop, performing repairs accurately and timely to maximize uptime.

This role requires diagnosing complex malfunctions, repairing or rebuilding components, and mentoring others. Prove experience on diverse trucks and tools is preferred; candidates must bring their own tools and demonstrate safe, high-quality workmanship.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience working on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Cummins MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Mansioni

• Work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely.
• Diagnose complex truck malfunctions or system failures and determine the best course of action to return the truck to peak performance.
• Repair or rebuild cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems.
• Maintain and service trucks to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
• Collaborate with teammates and act as a knowledgeable resource and mentor.
