Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to oversee daily field operations, coordinate crew activity, training, and safety compliance on job sites. You will work closely with management to determine staffing needs and deadlines, while mentoring crew members.

The role emphasizes enforcing OSHA safety standards, maintaining records, and ensuring high-quality workmanship, with a focus on customer relations and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and act independently.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight of employee should not exceed ~300 pounds due to equipment.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and assign daily work for the crew after orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conduct field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforce safe work practices per company policies and OSHA requirements.
• Discuss with property owners issues such as access, power interruptions, and work scope; refer complex cases to General Foreperson.
• Obtain permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintain good customer relations through effective completion of work and professional conduct.
• Investigate incident reports and minor damage claims as needed.
• Maintain accurate crew records, timesheets, and reports.
• Control crew costs and optimize use of personnel and methods.
• Provide reports on orders, units completed, crew time, and repairs to General Foreperson/utility reps.
