K&S Manufacturing is seeking a seasoned Tool & Die Maker to support a metal stamping operation in Ixonia, WI. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, modifying, and improving progressive dies to ensure consistent part quality and minimal downtime.

The position is full-time, on 1st shift (5am-2pm) in a 100% air-conditioned facility, with responsibilities spanning die diagnostics, tool changes, and dies’ preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Completion of Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship or journeyman-level training.
• 10+ years hands-on tool and die experience in a metal stamping environment.
• Experience repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting progressive stamping dies.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, die layouts, and GD&T.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple repair projects and prioritize urgent needs.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify progressive dies and stamping tools.
• Diagnose die-related production issues (misfeeds, burrs, wear).
• Perform emergency die repairs to minimize press downtime.
• Coordinate die changes, tryouts, and production launches with operators.
• Maintain records of die maintenance and tooling issues.
• Follow safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Support tooling improvements to increase uptime and reduce scrap.
• Assist with new die builds and production launches.
