Ideal candidates will have completed a formal apprenticeship or possess equivalent experience, with proficiency in troubleshooting and operating machinery. Qualifications

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or an equivalent eight-year training program recognized by the skilled trades committee.
• Strong understanding of precision measuring and gauging tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and use measuring devices to create or modify tooling.
• Set up and operate tool room machines, ensuring safety.
• Ensure all tools are sharpened and maintained.

Skills

Proficiency in troubleshooting dies, tools, fixtures, and jigs

Understanding of precision measuring and gauging tools

Experience operating lathes, mills, and grinding machinery

Education

Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
