Job summary

Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Journey-level Substation Technician to support construction, maintenance, and safe operation of high- and low-voltage equipment in the Substation Operations group. You will troubleshoot gear, supervise apprentices, and work with various teams to ensure reliability.

Starting pay is $62.87/hr with a raise to $66.01/hr after probation, and relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Five-year substation apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• 5+ years of journey-level experience preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Adjusting, calibrating, repairing, and replacing substation equipment.
• Install, test, and maintain substation and customer equipment.
• Provide training and guidance to apprentices on the team.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotations.
