Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical technology or equivalent, or high school diploma with 4 years of related electrical experience.
• Must obtain Substation Electrician Journeyman qualifications within four years.
• Valid driver’s license and class A CDL with endorsements: liquid/gaseous materials, tanker, and hazardous materials; FBI background check post-offer.
• DOT/FMCSA qualified position; willingness to travel 15-50% overnight.
• Must pass FBI background check and meet Basin Electric CIP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-the-job training to reach Journeyman level.
• Assist other Substation Electricians in operating, maintaining, testing, and commissioning equipment.
• Maintain substations, buildings, HVAC, and related facilities for reliable service.
• Commissioning of new equipment and ensuring readiness for service.
• Complete test forms, reports, timecards, and required paperwork.
• Attain proficiency in outages, clearance points, switching orders, and grounding.
• Travel as required for projects and maintenance.
