Job summary

CoServ seeks a Substation Technician 3 (O&M) to operate, maintain, and repair high-voltage substations in Texas. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure safe, compliant operation of critical infrastructure.

Work with engineering and operations teams to support reliability, respond to outages, and document activities. Requires journeyman license and 3–5 years of utility experience. Travel to multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent industry certification.
• 3–5 years of substation maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of substation components and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on substation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with dispatch and field teams during outages and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with NERC, ERCOT, and CoServ safety standards.
