Job summary

TIC_Craft in Mississippi is seeking an intermediate welder to plan, lay out, weld, install and repair structural steel per plans, specs and industry codes.

You will set up welding machines, read blueprints, preheat components, and weld using FCAW-S, FCAW-G, GMAW and SMAW while following safety and quality standards on site.

The role requires working irregular hours, overtime, and the ability to pass drug tests and background checks in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints and job specifications.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot and operate welding machines per specs and procedures.
• Preheat and weld components per blueprints and welding symbols.
• Weld using FCAW-S, FCAW-G, TGAW, GMAW, SMAW, SAW.
• Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress-relieving equipment.
• Make welding repairs and fix substandard welds.
