Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in the United States is seeking a skilled welder to plan, lay out, weld, install, and repair structural steel products per plans and codes. Work outdoors, must meet physical requirements and safety rules.

Candidates will use FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, SAW processes; read blueprints, follow welding procedures, and operate grinders and gougers as needed. Overtime and weekends may be required; team environment with strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfort with using hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, troubleshoot and operate welding machines according to job specs.
• Preheat and weld components per blue prints or specs.
• Weld processes FCAW-S, FCAW-G, TGAW, GMAW, SMAW, SAW.
• Operate gouger, grinder, stress-relieving machine and related equipment.
• Perform welding repairs and fix substandard welds.
