Intermediate level experience with multiple welding processes is preferred. The position supports night shifts and the work may occur outdoors in various weather conditions, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; familiarity with welding procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Willingness to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, troubleshoot and operate welding machines per job specs and procedures.
• Preheat and weld components according to blueprints and welding symbols.
• Weld FCAW-S, FCAW-G, TGAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW processes.
• Operate air arc gouger, grinder, and stress-relieving equipment.
• Perform welding repairs and correct substandard welds.
