Job summary

Infinity Home Services is seeking a licensed journeyman solar electrician to lead the electrical installations of residential PV systems. You will ensure safety and code compliance while mentoring apprentices on site.

You will work with the Production team and customers to deliver world-class results, tackle wiring tasks to NEC standards, and oversee inspections, logging notes in our internal tools before leaving each job.

Qualifications

• Active journeyman electrician license in MD, VA, or DC.
• 3+ years in the electrical trade, including hands-on solar PV work.
• Strong NEC knowledge; able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable on roofs and in attics; able to climb ladders and lift 50 lb.

Job description

The Licensed journeyman solar electrician is accountable for the safe and conforming installation of the electrical aspects of PV systems. Lead apprentice workers to ensure installations meet and exceed NEC and local codes. Communicate with Production team and Customers to ensure a world-class experience and excellent outcomes.

What you'll do

• Install and repair the electrical side of our solar systems
• Run conduit and wire to NEC and local code
• Install breakers, inverters, Powerwalls, and other components
• Handle inspections and troubleshoot problems
• Lead and mentor the apprentices and techs on your jobs
• Log photos and notes in our internal tools before you leave each job

What you need

• An active journeyman electrician license in MD, VA, or DC. This is required. We verify every license with the state. Apprentice licenses don't qualify.
• 3+ years in the electrical trade, including hands-on solar PV work
• Solid NEC knowledge. You can read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable on roofs and in attics, and you tie off every time
• Able to climb ladders, lift 50 lb, and work outdoors, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to make the early starts above
• Your own basic hand tools (we supply the rest)
• You live within 85 miles of our Columbia, MD warehouse, or you'll relocate before you start
• A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our insurance carrier's standards

Nice to have

• Tesla Powerwall or Tesla solar experience
• Battery storage and backup experience
