Job summary

Infinity Home Services in Maryland is seeking a Solar Repair and Replacement Technician to support removal and replacement of system elements during construction projects, maintain and repair PV systems, and offer upgrade solutions where appropriate.

The role requires 1+ year of hands-on solar/roofing/construction experience, the ability to work on steep roofs, lifting up to 50 lbs, travel 25–35% of the year, and living in MD/VA/DC with a valid license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of paid hands-on work in solar, roofing, construction, or electrical.
• Knowledge of rail/railless racking, string and micro inverters, basic commissioning, moderate conduit bending, and safe PV shutdown.
• Comfortable on steep pitched roofs and in attics, in all weather; fall protection used every time.
• Lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, kneel and bend on sloped surfaces.
• Bring your own basic hand tools; we supply the rest.
• Overnight travel 25% to 35% of the year (required), available out of town Monday through Thursday.
• Live in Maryland, Virginia or DC.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meets insurance standards (MVR reviewed after offer).

Solar Repair and Replacement Technician works in conjunction with our production crews to facilitate the removal and replacement of system elements during construction projects. Further, the Solar R&R Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing existing PV systems and offering upgrade and replacement solutions where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Remove and reinstall panels for roof replacements and upgrades
• Inspect for damage and handle basic maintenance, repairs, and cleaning
