Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced plumber to oversee inmate crews, maintain tools and equipment, and handle preventative maintenance of all plumbing fixtures at the State Prison Complex – Tucson.

The role involves cleaning sewer drains, repairing fixtures, and conducting general maintenance, contributing to a safe and well-maintained facility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general building and preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge of water heaters, water softeners, water boilers, drainage, waste systems, backflows, and plumbing tools/equipment.
• Knowledge of national and local building codes and safety practices.
• Knowledge of commercial gas lines.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suites, to create reports, charts, and research.

Responsibilities

• Cleans small and large sewer drains and repairs toilets, sinks, faucets, water heaters, and boilers.
• Installs plumbing fixtures, plumbing drains, and water lines.
• Conducts general maintenance as instructed by supervisors.
• Drives on State business.
• Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment.
