Job summary

Hero Home Services is seeking a licensed Journeyman Plumber to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential plumbing systems in the Minneapolis area. You will deliver high-quality service, discuss repair options with homeowners, and ensure work meets code and safety standards.

Work is full-time with scheduled shifts from home to job sites, company-provided vehicle, and opportunities for performance-based bonuses and advancement.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Journeyman Plumber License required.
• Must hold or be actively working toward Minneapolis/St. Paul Competency Cards.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing residential plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain residential plumbing systems in the Minneapolis area.
• Perform service calls, identify malfunctions, and propose effective repairs or long-term solutions.
• Complete installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs per codes and quality standards.
• Present homeowners with repair options to enable informed decisions.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and workmanship.

  • Monday–Friday, normally 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Rotating 7 a.m.–3 p.m. or 11 a.m.–7 p.m. shifts approximately every two to three weeks.
  • Shifts are intended to provide predictable coverage and eliminate the need for on-call work.

Your New Role

• Location: Minneapolis / Greater Twin Cities metro area
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain residential plumbing systems, including water lines, gas lines, drains, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Perform residential plumbing service calls, accurately identify system malfunctions, and recommend effective repairs or long-term solutions.
• Complete plumbing installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs according to applicable codes and quality standards.
• Present homeowners with clear repair and replacement options so they can make informed decisions about their plumbing systems.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication, reliable service, and exceptional workmanship.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, managers, and fellow technicians to ensure service calls and plumbing projects run smoothly.
• Maintain accurate service records, invoices, billing details, and daily job documentation.
• Keep your company-provided service vehicle organized, properly maintained, and stocked with necessary plumbing tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
• Participate in company training, meetings, and team events to stay current on plumbing techniques and service standards.
• Consistently deliver outstanding residential plumbing service while meeting performance goals and contributing to the team's success.

• Active Minnesota Journeyman Plumber License required.
• Must hold or be actively working toward obtaining Minneapolis/St. Paul Competency Cards.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing residential plumbing systems.
• Strong working knowledge of residential water, gas, and drain systems.
• Ability to evaluate plumbing problems accurately and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and service options clearly to homeowners.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to pass applicable background checks and drug screenings in accordance with state law.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds or more and perform the physical duties associated with residential plumbing service work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete service calls, documentation, and follow-up tasks accurately.
• Ability to work collaboratively with dispatch, management, and other service professionals.
• Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, accountability, and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training, company meetings, and professional development activities.
