Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter in North Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of field experience, can read plans, and will lay out, fabricate, install and maintain piping systems for steam, hot water and process lines.

The role involves selecting pipe types, threading, welding, testing for leaks, and ensuring safety on site with limited supervision. A strong grasp of tools and on-site coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; field experience preferred.
• Journeyman level with 3+ years of documented craft experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and plans.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping systems.
• Select pipe types and components per job specs and plan sequence to avoid obstructions.
• Weld, caulk, braze, or cement joints and secure pipes to structures.
• Test piping systems for leaks and ensure safe operation.
• Observe safety rules and participate in general site duties as needed.
