Johnson Controls is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter to support fabrication, installation, testing, and maintenance of piping systems. You will work from blueprints and specifications to build reliable systems for water, chemicals, and fuel, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

This hands‑on role involves shop fabrication and field support, including fit‑up, welding, testing, and coordination with other trades to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Journeyman Pipefitter.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ability to measure, cut, thread, fit up, weld, and install piping systems and components.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate piping systems and components for water, chemical, fuel, and hydronic applications.
• Build and tack piping and equipment supports, brackets, and guides.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Measure, cut, thread, fit up, weld, and tack piping sections and joints using hand and power tools.
• Install supports, valves, piping, and related components.
• Test systems for leaks using appropriate testing equipment.
• Liaise with other trades to complete work safely and on schedule.
