Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Must have sufficient strength and stamina for the duties listed.
• Must move in and around confined/uneven areas.
• Must have full range of motion for duties.
• Must hear and respond to voice commands and alarms.
• Visual acuity and color discrimination suitable for working at heights and uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type/size and related materials per job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions.
• Plans installation sequence to avoid conflicts.
• Cuts pipe with hacksaw, pipe cutter, or torch.
• Threads pipe with threading machine.
• Bends pipe by hand or tools.
• Mounts hangers/brackets to hold pipe on structures.
• Assembles and installs pipes and fittings with various joints.
• Secures pipes with brackets/clamps/hangers.
• Tests piping systems for leaks by pressure testing.
• Loads/transports/unloads materials and tools.
• May assist in lifting/positioning materials during install.
• Performs minor maintenance/cleaning of tools.
• Respiratory protection may be required.
• Follows safety and project rules; communicates clearly.
• Listens and communicates with supervision and coworkers.
• Maintains safe, productive work habits.
• Responds to safety alerts, warnings, hazards.
