Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems for industrial facilities. Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 3-5 Years Of Journeyman Level Experience, Required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check as conditions of employment.
• Must provide your own fire-retardant clothing (FRC).

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe using saws, torches, and pipe threaders.
• Attach pipes to walls/fixtures using brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
• Plan layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and materials per specifications.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems and components.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or gases.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Inspect sites for obstructions and structural adequacy.
• Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
• Work outdoors in all weather; lift at least 50 pounds; climb stairs/ramps.
• Wear PPE as required (rain gear, respirators, hard hat, etc.).
• Move in various body positions and handle tools as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
