Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Journeyman Pipefitter in Bishop, Texas. The role involves reading and interpreting instructions, planning and performing pipe fabrication, installation and maintenance for steam, hot water, heating, cooling and related systems.

You will lay out, assemble, weld, test and secure piping with safety as a priority. The ideal candidate has typically 3+ years of field experience, can work independently, follow project rules and wear respiratory protection when

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and drawings to perform pipefitting tasks.
• Plan work and select proper tools and materials for installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe and materials per job specs and installs piping systems.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and safety.
• Plans installation sequence to avoid conflicts with other workers.
• Cuts, threads, bends and assembles piping with appropriate joints and supports.
• Installs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning piping and controls.
• Tests piping systems for leaks and ensures proper operation.
• Operates and assists with lifting, positioning, and securing materials.
