Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Certified Journeyman to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping systems and related equipment for processing facilities. The role requires NCCER certifications and strict adherence to safety rules.

The candidate will inspect worksites, plan installation sequences, cut, thread, bend, and join pipes, and install HVAC piping. Strong emphasis on accuracy, manual dexterity, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; basic understanding of concepts within the field.
• Must follow instructions and pre-established guidelines; relies on supervision.
• Ability to work safely and comply with project rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping and fixtures.
• Select pipe types/sizes and supports based on job specs.
• Inspect site for obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cut, thread, bend and join pipes using appropriate tools.
• Install refrigeration and air conditioning piping and equipment.
• Test piping systems for leaks after assembly.
