Journeyman Mission Analyst

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive Mission Assurance analysis to understand how critical missions depend on assets, systems, infrastructure, and external dependencies.
- Analyze Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) and Task Critical Assets (TCAs) to identify vulnerabilities, single points of failure, and mission impacts.
- Support ongoing identification, validation, periodic revalidation, and continuous improvement of mission‑critical capabilities.
- Coordinate with OSD, the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, installations, and other DoD agencies as directed.
- Manage, analyze, and contextualize Mission Assurance risk data to support understanding of impacts to mission execution.
- Augment Government‑led Mission Assurance assessment teams, including pre‑site survey activities, on‑site data collection, and post‑assessment analysis.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- 3–10 years in any career field, discipline, or industry.
- Experience with DoD Mission Assurance processes (DoDI 3020.45) preferred.
- Background in operations, intelligence, force protection, or risk management preferred.
- Familiarity with TCA/DCA identification and Air Force operations preferred.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in any field.
Certification Requirements
Security Clearance Requirements
- Active/current Top Secret (TS) clearance on Day 1 of performance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and TS/SCI with Caveats.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work 100% on‑site within a Government SCIF during core duty hours.
- CONUS travel may be required (coordinated with the Government at least 10 calendar days prior).
- OCONUS travel may be required (e.g., EUCOM/PACOM AOR support; coordinated at least 20 calendar days prior, with Theater Business Clearances).
- Local travel within the National Capital Region may be required.
- Trip and After-Action Reports are required following each trip.
- May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds.
- May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time.
- Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings.
- Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
