Job summary

Socomi in Oregon seeks a highly skilled Oregon Journeyman Millwright to maintain, repair, and optimize our industrial equipment in the Maintenance Department. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The role requires a certified Millwright, 4+ years experience in wood products manufacturing preferred, welding and fabrication skills, and willingness to work any shift and overtime to keep operations running safely.

Qualifications

• Must be carded (certified Millwright).
• Minimum 4 years of industrial millwright experience or comparable training in wood products manufacturing (preferred).
• Proficient in welding, cutting, troubleshooting, and machinery operation.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep detailed records of repairs.
• Weld, fabricate, and modify equipment as needed.
• Operate machinery when necessary for troubleshooting and testing.
• Maintain clear communication with maintenance, production, and management personnel.
• Must be able to work any shift (day, swing, graveyard, or relief) as needed in the department.
• Must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, when required.
