Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a qualified millwright to join our maintenance team at White City, OR. The role is on-site and full-time, focusing on machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and fabrication tasks within wood products manufacturing.

You will work with power transmission, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and conveyors to ensure reliable operations. Preferred candidates hold Journeyman level Millwright credentials, have CMMS experience, and can work varied shifts with overtime as

Qualifications

• Must have a strong work and safety record.
• Able to work at heights, in hot/dusty environments.
• Willing to work days, swing and/or graveyard shifts with overtime.
• Experience entering detailed work orders into CMMS.
• Experience in field prep: shop math, tools, torqueing, fasteners, print reading.
• Experience in assembly and installation: alignment, belts, tolerances.
• Experience identifying failed components in hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Experience in fluid power operation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and plant policies.
• Troubleshoot machines and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Successful candidate will be responsible for following safe work practices, plant policies and procedures, machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, fabricating and modifying equipment, repairing or replacing; power transmission, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and conveyor system components.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have an excellent work and safety record.
• Must be able to work at heights, and in hot/dusty environments.
• Must be able to work various shifts including days, swing and/or graveyard with required daily or weekly overtime as needed.
• Must be able to comprehend and enter detailed work orders into our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Must have experience in Field Prep which consists of shop math, basic measuring tools, hand tools, torqueing, fasteners, and print reading.
• Must have experience in Assembly & Installation which consists of part assembly, pre-alignment, alignment, belts, chains, fits, and tolerances.
• Must have experience identifying and controlling failed components such as hydraulic and pneumatic components, pumps, and bearings.
• Must have experience in Fluid Power Operation and Troubleshooting.
• Must have knowledge of Pumping Systems which includes process pumps, piping, packing/sealing systems.
• Must have experience in Rigging and Welding.
• Must be 18 or older to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman level Millwright
• Maintenance reliability knowledge
• Computer experience (Microsoft products)
• Familiar with wood products machinery and equipment.
