Job summary

HRB in Cherry Point, NC, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Technician, Journeyman to support F-5N+/F+ modernization. You will provide mechanical design and modification inputs, and act as a liaison with PMA and technical domains to resolve airframe issues.

The role requires 4 years of relevant aviation experience, DoD MIL-STDs familiarity, and strong communication skills. On-site position with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4 years of progressive engineering technical or maintenance experience in aviation.
• Experience coordinating with engineering/technical functions for airframe/mechanical systems.
• Strong communication and proactive work ethic.
• Familiarity with DoD MIL-STDs and military manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design and modification support for F-5N+/F+ modernization.
• Support Systems Engineering Lead for BUP and ARTEMIS programs.
• Coordinate technical discrepancy requests among PMA, FST, NAWCAD, and contractors.
• Draft correspondence for government review and release.
• Review and maintain familiarity with drawings, repair dispositions, and SOWs.
